Football is a game which is believed to be in existence since medieval times. It is also believed it was played by various people from China to south America.

But the first modern day ball was found by Mr.Charles Goodyear in 1836. Prior to Goodyear making the ball, the people would be dependent on the size and shape of a pigs bladder which they used as a ball.

In 1855 as the technology enhanced, Goodyear designed and built the first Vulcanized soccer ball.

In the year 1863 when the English Football Association met to form a set of laws for the game, there was no discussion on size and shape of the ball, but later in 1872 when the found the importance of the ball they revised the rule and set it as "the ball must be spherical with circumference of 27 to 28 inches".

It was later changed a little in 1937 as the game developed of the years and a standard size and shape and material was decided.

As the game reached 1900's the balls where modernized with bladders made pentagons.

And the first 32 panel ball was developed by Adidas in 1970 for the world cup. 20 panels in white and 12 in black. It was called Telstar. It was used again in the 1974 world. On the success of Telstar, the modern football is developed.

From Teamgeist in 2006 to Jubalani in 2010. To the Brazuca in Brazil. The football has come a long way.
