A Harry Redknapp man through and through, Jermain Defoe is ready to make his comeback to the English Premier League this January as he permanently moves QPR this winter.
QPR have been struggling to find a suitable striker since Remy move across the street to Chelsea with Charlie Austine and Bobby Zamora the only two real striking options available, Harry Redknapp's men have struggled to score goals.
Defoe who moved last year, when former QPR defender Ryan Nelsen was announced as the manager of the Toronto side, has seen his relationship go sour with the new manager who replaced Nelsen in August.
Redknapp who tried to sign Defoe in summer, was quoted saying during the August:
'We tried all day with Jermain.
'He was keen to come. We agreed a deal with Toronto but they wouldn’t release him.
'There is every chance he will come in January. Almost certainly, I think we will go back in for him.'
According to media reports, Jermain Defoe will sign a three year contract and will be handed a 90k pounds per week salary.
