Atletico de Kolkata and FC Goa play out a draw


In the second game of the Semi final leg of the Hero Indian Super League, Kolkata played out a goalless draw against the traveling FC Goa side.



A jam packed salt lake stadium awaited Atletico de Kolkata as the teams made their way out of the tunnel to loud cheers. The home side were in for a treat.


But on the field, Kolkata had their own troubles. With a couple injuries in the defense, managed Habas decided to with a 3 man defense. Luis Garcia stared up front.


ATK started the game well, as they had a aura of attack in their play, with the crowd cheering every pass. Garcia was playing out as the passes in the final third failed to come along.

With the intricate passing not coming off, Kolkata resorted to long shots. With most of then not even testing the keeper.



On the other end, Goa looked more threatening as they had good clear chances, but even they couldn't make the most of it. With one hitting the side netting. But there was bad news for Goa in the 17th minute as defender Narayan Das picked up an injury.


The second half started on a sober note but in the 53rd min, the home side sprung into action with a cross from Czech Jakub Podany going past the post as Ofentse Nato failed to head home.




Goa were equal to Kolkata as Brazilian Andre Santos picked Miroslav Slepicka inside the 20 yards area, to feed an inch perfect ball, but the Czech's feeble attempt was collected by Bete.


The match was settled as a draw at the end.
