Chelsea Activate Remy Release Clause

According to Di Marzio and Sky Italia who broke the news, Chelsea have agreed a deal with QPR for the transfer of Loic Remy. Chelsea activated a £8 M clause in the QPR strikers contract which forces the club to accept any offer which £8 M or more than it.

Reports suggest that, Chelsea and Remy have already agreed a personal contract and the striker will have a medical today.

Remy had a summer to forgot after his “merry go round”, the French man who was about to sign for Liverpool after the Mersey side club agreed a deal with Qpr, but sadly Loic failed a medical and a deal couldn’t be concluded. Torres’ departure leaves Jose Mourinho with just two recognized senior striker. Chelsea moved in swiftly to tie up a deal for the French striker who already rejected a number of offers to play for a team competing in the Champions League.

The 27 year old was impressive last season, scoring 14 goals in 26 league games for Newcastle.
