He began his youth career with the Indian Bank Recreational Club where he played from 2007-2009, prior to which he used to play for the Nilagiri Police football team. His father, Sathyan was a footballer himself and the inspiration for Sabeeth to take up the sport professionally.
Playing as a striker for the Nilagiri team garnered a lot of attention as he was the highest scoring striker, and he received offers from several teams around the south, including the U-19 Tamil Nadu team and the Collin Toal U-19 team. His adult career has seen him play with Viva Kerala as well as the Pailan Arrows before he took up his spot at Mohun Bagan, for whom he has played 23 games and scored 4 goals.
He also has a little international exposure by participating in the 2008 AFC Youth Championship qualification and the Olympics Pre-qualifiers in 2012.
