Kevin De Bruyne Sparkles against Bayern Munich

Bundesliga is back, and Kevin De Bruyne put his side Wolfsburg in a place where they'd be giving defending Champions run for their money.

Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich lost their first league game of the season at the hands of home team Wolfsburg, who reduced the lead at the top of the league. Not only did the defending champions lose, they were thrashed the Wolfs, with Belgium's attacking talent and £18m accusation from Chelsea - Kevin De Bruyne.

Wolfsburg who were handed a 6-1 thrashing at the Bayern home last season, returned the favour as brace from Bas Dost and KdB completed the thrashing.

A composed performance from the home side, is what paid them off.

Before the start of the game, there a minutes silence for the now late Wolfsburg midfielder, Junior Malanda.

Bayern's lead at the top has been cut to 8 points now with the team in green still hoping for the title in summer, with Andre Schurrle to be added to ranks soon.
