Ligue 1 Review 2014

Marseille wrapped up 2014 at top of the table. Marseille who who have had their manager changed from last season have employed former Athletic Club manager Marcelo Bielsa. The Bielsa inspired team have done well as they have opened a gap of two points Lyon side who stand second.

Defending Champions PSG stand third on the table. The Paris team have had a difficult time dissecting defensively strong teams this season. The Paris side had a decent 2014, but have also endured a bit of tough time. Winning the league for the second consecutive time and also winning the cup, it overall was a good year for the Paris side.

Lyon have been helped by inspiring French forward Alexandre Lacazette who was tipped for big things this season and rightfully so. The striker has scored 17 goals this season and stand in attacking midfielder fekir has contributed with him.

The title looks like it could be won by anyone of them. The French football had always a ring of uncertainty to it. With PSG competing in the UCL, Marseille and Lyon can take advantage of less games.
