Manchester Derby Preview

Manchester United travel just a few miles as they face the team who have been out doing them for a while when it comes to Manchester Derbies. Defending Champions take on cross town rivals again to decide whether the City is blue or red.

City who sit third on the table, are struggling for form. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have failed to win their last three games in all competitions. With injuries and players off form the Premier League defending champions need to buckle up and need to prove the doubters wrong. With back to back defeats in the Champions league and Capital One cup haven’t much good to the morale of the dressing room. With David Silva side-lined for 3-4 weeks and Frank Lampard expected to play no part in the coming games, Pellegrini will have to depend on the rest of his squad.

On the other hand, there is good news for Manchester United as captain Wayne Rooney is back, he is done serving his three game suspension. Van Gaal side have done well in the build up to this game, a last minute equalizer against Chelsea last week should propel the spirits in the camp. With Falcao injured, Van Gaal is expected to start Rooney and Van Persie today against City. Midfielder Andre Herrera who was deemed only fit for the bench for the game against Chelsea, is also expected to start today.
