Radamel Falcao is set to extend his stay at Manchester United by signing permanently, reports Goal.com. The fee is believed to be in region of €56m and his wages will be around €305,000 a week.
The Columbian currently is on loan from AS Monaco at Old Trafford. United paid €8m as loan fee to Monaco and they have option to buy him at the end of season. Falcao suffered from a knee injury in January which kept him out for almost 8 months. The injury is career threatening and this is why United were skeptical to sign him on a permanent deal on deadline day in first place.
It looks like the forward is slowly returning to his best and Louis van Gaal has decided to take the punt on him. The report further states that, United were in negotiations with Jorge Mendes, he represents Falcao, for number of weeks prior to signing him on deadline day.
A loan move was the consensus reached by all the concerned parties with an option to buy. If reports by notorious Goal.com are to be believed then the Red Devils are exercising their option to buy at the end of season.
