Both of the sides have had a change of guard post the Brazilian extravaganza for different reasons. Former Italian boss Cesare Prandelli couldn't take Italy's early elimination and resigned post the quadrennial showpiece while Dutch on back of their exceptional World cup campaign were resigned to the fact that they were going to lose Louis van Gaal post the tournament as he had a pre-agreement with Manchester United. In comes Antonio Conte and Guus Hiddink for Italy and Netherlands respectively.
Since both teams have new men at the helm there will be some changes in the tactics as well as the squads.
Italy -
Former Juventus boss Conte was upbeat about his new job and vowed to bring glory days back to Italy, “I want to always win. We need to bring Italy back to where it belongs, because after Brazil, we’re the most important national team in the world,” said the Italian. Italians have omitted Mario Balotelli who serves his suspension. Whilst they will also be deprived of the services of Giorgio Chiellini and Gabriel Paletta in defense, Andrea Pirlo in midfield and Danny Osvaldo in attack.
Netherlands -
