Chaos in Kolkata as Mohun Bagan’s top brass resigns
The shabby face of Indian football is out in the open as Mohun Bagan’s entire top brass resigns in a single day. The reason for their sudden resignation is cited as poor run of form displayed by the club in Federation Cup.
The Club's president Swapan Sadhan ‘Tutu’ Bose, general secretary Anjan Mitra and treasurer Debashish Dutta have resigned.
"Enough is enough, we tried our best to help the club come out of the rut but could not help. As a last measure, we're stepping down with immediate effect," Mitra was quoted as saying by PTI, after he along with the president and club finance secretary Debasish Dutta tendered their resignation.
There are reports that this is just a gimmick to win the upcoming elections in the club. The Boses have never been challenged at Bagan and in order to maintain their unchallenged reign they are just faking their resignations. The elections are going to be supervised by a judge.
