South Indian Derby - Match Preview

With games now coming thick and fast, this ISL witnesses its third derby in a fortnight with Abhishek Bachan owned Chennaiyin FC taking on Tendulkar's side Kerla Blasters.

Both started off their ISL season with contrasting results. Chennai who won their first game courtesy of goals from ISL's first Indian scorer Balwant Singh and Brazilian Elano who curled in a beauty in to the net. Kerala on the other hand who lost their game by a narrow margin of a single goal, put up a good fight with their player manager David James leading from the front.

Teams who are coached by player cum coaches in Marco Materazzi who benched himself for Chennai's first game is expected to start in front of their home fans. David James who on the other hand started and played a big part in keeping the deficit low is expected to continue between the sticks for Kerala. Chennai who have based their team around their sturdy central defenders - Mendy Silvester Gouramangi Singh, the team look better than any other on paper with Elano providing the magic upfront the side looked balanced under the watchful eyes of the Italian. Michael Chopra who started the bench, is expected to start against Chennai to provide much needed fire power.
