Liverpool continues its good run of form as they edge past a spirited Swansea side at Liberty Stadium. Jordan Henderson scored the winner for the visitors who are on five game unbeaten streak in the league.
Swansea started the game on the bright note and was the better side in the first half. And they created quite a few chances but never looked like running away with the game. But the introduction of Steven Gerrard changed the game and tilted the tie in Liverpool’s favour.
Within minutes, the captain made impact on the game as he linked up with his deputy and created the goal which gave Liverpool all the three points. Jordan Henderson’s long ranger deflected into the back of the net which was reminiscent to Steven Gerrard’s numerous goals.
It seems Henderson is taking on the mantle from his captain in all possible ways. Liverpool now move within two points of Manchester United who are in fourth place whom they host next week at Anfield.
