Crisis at Anfield

Liverpool have again sunk back to lows after a season of hope which they had less than 365 days ago. A Luis Suarez led Liverpool was challenging for the title and came agonizingly close to win their maiden Premier League crown as well.

Fast forward and they are sitting in 10th place in the league and are 18 points off leaders Chelsea. Liverpool is win less in five games on the trot. This is their worst run since 2012.

There are reports that Brendan Rodgers has a fractured dressing room, which is a big jolt to Rodgers job security. Liverpool has invested almost 200 million pounds since 2012 and have failed to win any piece of silverware under Rodgers. Liverpool has put its scouting policy under the scanner,

“Within, we are very analytical of performance and analyse how we’re doing for constant improvement,” Rodgers said.

“But my work is very much focused on the players that we do have, on trying to improve them individually and as a team. I think I’ve shown in my career as a coach and a manager that that’s what I get my teeth into.”

If this barren run continues then it won’t be shocking as Brendan Rodgers would be first big name casualty in 2015.
