Fall from Grace Clarence Seedorf

He is the most decorated Dutch footballer ever! He has won every imaginable trophy in club competitions. Clarence Seedorf needs no introduction. The AC Milan great was one of the best midfielders of his time. He is the only player to win Champions League with three different clubs.

He began his career at Ajax and he is a part of the famed Ajax youth academy. He rose through the ranks at Ajax and it was Louis van Gaal where he realized his true potential. He was part of that historic team of 1995 which won the finals against the mighty Real Madrid. As ironic it may sound, he moved to the very same club in two seasons post his stay in Sampdoria where he had even more fruitful phase of his career.

Seedorf of Real Madrid was a superstar. He played for four seasons with the Los Blancos as he won the most coveted Champions League once again with them in 1998. He was an ever present fixture in Real side in his days. He also won a La Liga with them. But after an issue of gametime with his manager Guus Hiddink he made his switch to Inter for 23 million euros.

At Inter he stayed for two seasons as his move to Inter came a cropper. He was quickly sold to neighbors AC Milan. It was in the red half of Milan where Seedorf had some of the best moments of his career.

At Milan, he was simply imperious. He propelled Milan to two UCL crowns, a Coppa Italia and two Serie A titles.

He was playing support to a young Kaka, that’s where he flourished at Milan. He scored many a screamers for the Rossoneri.

He then moved to Brazil, where he was player manager for Botafogo. This was the nadir of his illustrious career. He then retired after his spell in Brazil and went into football management.
