Five things to look forward in 2015

2014 may have come to a glorious end but lest not worry as 2015 is going to be even more exciting as some of the status quo will be disturbed. We look at the five things which could define the first half of 2015.

1. Real Madrid’s Champions League title defence

No team has retained Champions League crown since 1992. But current holders, Real Madrid look like they have got what it takes to defend their Decima. Can they? Only time will tell.

2. Can Roma break Juve’s stranglehold in Italy?

Juventus have been unchallenged in Italy for the last four seasons. Rudi Garcia’s Roma have been the only side who have looked like they can pose any challenge to the Bianconneri. It may be now or never for the Romans.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

Till the time both of them are playing it is impossible to imagine a year without fireworks from either of them. 2015 will be no different and there will be some spectaculars from both these mechanical footballers.

4. Premier League

It is by far the most dramatic league in the world. The English Premier League has provided us with the most thrilling title races over the years. This season Chelsea look clear favourites but you may never know what is going to be the face of league table in May.

5. Time up for PSG?

PSG after dominating the Ligue 1 for past three seasons is finally losing their grip on the league as they are challenged by Marseille. After a long time there is going to be a strong title run in France.
