INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE PROFILES
1) ROBERT PIRES:
One of the greatest players to grace Premier League football, Robert Pires the now FC Goa player comes under the microscope today. Pires made his name as a nifty winger with great footwork and his biggest asset the turn of pace in the final third. Pires 41, started his career at Remis. Then moved on to play for FC Metz's as he signed for them during his youth days. He made his professional debut against Lyon. He spent six years at the club, as he was named the young player of the year. Later he moved to French giants Marseille making a huge move to Arsenal possible in a couple years. He signed with Arsenal in 2000 where he won three FA Cups and two Premier League titles with the North London club. Pires was named in the Professional Footballers' Association Team of the Year in 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2003-04, and was named the Football Writers’ Association’s ‘Footballer of the Year’ in 2001-02. He later went on to move to Villareal.

2) DAVID JAMES:
Second on our list today is Kerala's marquee player manager David James. An old school keeper, with a humongous amount of experience on his side, David James has played 535 times in the Premier League., and has played 53 times for England. He has represented a lot of clubs. He has also won accolades (BME) in the field of public service and charity. He was the number one for England in Euro and World cup. His last assignment was with Icelandic club IBV Vestmannaeyjar in 2013 in a dual role as player/manager.
