1) Rehenesh TP - 



The Kerala born, NorthEast United FC goalkeeper TP Rehenesh comes under the hammer today as we review ISL players profile. Rehenesh who plays as the Keeper for NEUFC started his professional career at ONGC. He played his first game as he had to come on for the outgoing number one who was red carded. Rehenesh is an all round keeper who was motivated by his father and grandfather to start playing professionally. He is good in the air, he has good leap and is nimble footed as he can also play as a central defender. Rehenesh played in age group tournaments in his home state and joined the Sports Authority of India in 2006. He also captained the team in the Subroto Cup, playing as a central defender.

2) Subrata Paul - 



India's number one, now Mumbai City's number one and one of the stars of the new India side. 28, Paul has been in the mix for a long time. He is one of the most experienced players in India. Rated as India's number one, he is also rated as one of the best in Asia. He is also the first Indian goalkeeper to get a contract from a foreign club, FC Vestsjaelland. Subrata who hails from Kolkata, started his club career at Mohun Bagan, but only played once due to an incident which led to city rivals profiting as East Bengal signed the keeper as he came of age to become India's best goalkeeper. He played an important role in East Bengal's successful endeavors in the AFC challenge cup. He then moved on to various clubs. And has won various accolades for his match winning saves.

  • Voted best goalkeeper, I-League, 2007.
  • Winner, Nehru Cup (2007 and 2009) and AFC Challenge Cup, 2008.
  • Dubbed the ‘Indian Spiderman’ by South Korean media during the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar after he made 16 saves in the group match against the Taeguk Warriors and about 35 in India’s three group fixtures in the championship.
