Player of the year for Arsenal
Nominees:
Santi Cazorla:
The first half of 2014 was, on the whole pretty underwhelming from our Spanish midfielder however in the later stages he has proved to be a man for the big occasion. And his goal in the FA Cup final was a stunner from 30 yards before the halftime whistle blew. The timing of the goal was crucial towards the end of the half, giving the team a platform to build on in the 2nd half and given the drama of Ramsey’s late winner, I think his goal has received lack of attention simply because its wasn't the winning goal. His form started from being patchy in the starting stages of this season but now as it exponentially increased in recent weeks as he seems to have replaced his team-mate MESUT OZIL, who is injured though. He adds calmness to the team and dressing room.
Alexis Sanchez:
That winning smile on his brave face is a beauty to watch for apart from his skills during the game. Arsenal may not be the best football side in the Premier League, but still manage to bring in such world class players. His impact has been such a boost that he has directly contributed towards 14 goals this season so far. He really has been magnificent since he joined the club and is truly the type of player people would love to watch. Whilst his skill, dribbling and control has made us awestruck. It is his determination and attitude that has made him an instant fan favorite.
