This humiliating defeat of Brazil will go down as one of the worst in their history. The hosts went into the game with a 50-50 chance to win the game but came out 90 minutes later, their most vulnerable selves.

It was as if all their weaknesses were put under a microscope for the world to see by a nearly flawless German team who had the home fans begging for mercy even before the half-hour mark.

Though it would be tough for us to pick the best player when there were clearly many we choose Toni Kroos. The midfielder was near perfect with the way he conducted himself throughout the length of the match.

Corner kick that landed right on Mueller’s kitty for Germany’s first:

Kroos’s 24th minute strike: Germany 3 – 0.

Second goal for Kroos in 26th minute:

There was barely a moment where one could find fault with his play. He scored two goals and provided an assist and played a significant role along with his compatriots who made jokers out of the whole Brazilian team.

Here’s a statistic of the player’s performance:

Goals – 2

Assists – 1

Shots – 3

Shots on Target – 2

Passes – 71

Pass Percentage – 93%
