Netherlands managed to qualify to the Quarter Finals of the World Cup after beating Mexico in a spectacular fashion. The Dutch forward duo of Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie were completely isolated by the El Tri defense. The Mexicans took the lead with a Giovani dos Santos goal in the 48th minute and completely blocked out the Netherlands’ attack. They were almost on the cusp of a glorious victory but all hell broke loose as Sneijder put the ball into the back of the net with a glorious strike in the 87th minute. This gave Louis van Gaal’s side a breathing chance as they pushed the game into extra time and ably found a penalty, courtesy of an unnecessary tackle on Robben by veteran Rafael Marquez, taken by Huntelaar who headed the ball home as the Dutch supporters erupted into celebrations while the Mexicans cringed with sadness.

Here’s the goal that made it all happen.

Now, we know how interesting and nerve wracking the game was, two good teams trying to outdo each other. That particular goal was a catalyst as it sent all neutral fans around the world into frenzy. Here’s a few tweets that we think best serves as a testimonial to the stunning goal scored  by the super Dutch.

But before that here's an overview of his performance.
