When two of the greatest rivals in the history of Italian football meet, when Inter travel to San Siro as the away team, when the city gets divided in two. When your loyalties lie somewhere else, yes you have the great Italian Derby!
There's never a dull moment when it comes to the Milan derby. Arrigo Sacchi's AC Milan who dominated Europe in the 80 and 90's , Jose Mourinho's treble winning Inter. There is so much history attached to this game.
From Rui Costa to Kaka to Matterrazi; from Luis Figo to Ronaldhino; Ronaldo to Zlatan. These two clubs have always been the corner stone of Italian football.
But with so much history between them, to see both the sides struggling in the past years has been heart breaking for lots of fans, not just the Milan fans, but the whole of football fans.
There has been so many changes as Italian football has suffered major cases of match fixing and various other investigations. There has been change of guards. As Inter manager Walter Mazzari was sacked by the board and have brought in former favourite Mancini.
AC Milan on the other hand have been on sidelines as well, with Allegiri failing and moving to Juventus.
