India played hosts to Under-23 Pakistan who notched up a 2-0 win to draw the bilateral friendly series 1-1 at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Wednesday. After winning the first leg of the tie India lost to a spirited Pakistani side. Indian coach Wim Koevermans made two changes to the to his team from the first game, Milan Singh came in for Pronoy Halder and Haokip Thonhkosiem started in place of suspended Robin Singh.

The opponents took the lead on the 38th minute of the game from a curling freekick courtesy of the as if they lacked direction Pakistani captain Kaleemullah. India looked as if they lacked focus as well as direction in attack and in defence. The neighbours maintained the lead despite increasing pressure by the Indian team in the second half.

An improved second half performance saw, the hosts having a couple of shots on goal. But the game was put to bed when Pakistan scored again in the 90th minute, even a draw looking out of site, with just a couple of minutes left on the clock.

Both sides were able to win a match each in the two game Indo-Pak friendly Series held at Bangalore Stadium. It was a good preparatory test for the young Indian side, which look to go as further as possible in the upcoming Asia Cup series.
