Roberto Mancini made his return to prestigious Milan Derby with a 1-1 draw at San Siro against Pippo Inzhagi's rejuvenated AC Milan.
Milan took lead in 23rd minute thanks to a wonderful Jeremy Menez goal. Till the goal, the match was more or less evenly poised with no side creating any clear cut scoring opportunities.
The half ended with Milan on the ascendancy as their midfield started to claw their way into the game. Michael Essien and Jeremy Menez were the best players on the pitch by some distance for Milan.
But in second half, Inter got back into the game with an equalizer from Joel Obi. A deserved one to say the least.
Milan struggled in the opposition box as both of their forwards, Torres first and then Honda later on, were dismal.
The game in itself has lost its sheen of its yesteryears. As both the teams have lost their superpower status in Italian football to Juventus. Nonetheless, it is still one of the most fierce derby in the world thanks to the passionate set of fans.
