Gareth Bale is set to miss his side’s crunch Champions League fixture on Wednesday. The Wales international has picked up a knock while on duty for his national team.

He was on bench for Sunday’s 5-0 thrashing on Levante and was an unused sub. A Real statement did not disclose how long they expect the Welsh forward to be out for, saying "His progress will be monitored."

Real Madrid are in scorching form as they look unstoppable at the moment while Liverpool at the same time form wise are quite contrast to their opponents. Anfield return of Gareth Bale after almost a year is in limbo if reports are anything to go by.
