For all the controversies and speculation surrounding Barcelona, the team have done well to stay focused on the pitch as they made it to the semi finals of the Copa Del Rey beating Atletico Madrid at Vicente Calderon.
With the tie which was balancely poised from the first leg in the Camp Nou, the Catalan club traveled to Spanish capital in Madrid to make it their 8th semi final appearance in 9 seasons.
Atleti on the other hand were motivated and looked the turn the tie in their favour using the home support. Diego Simeone again showing faith in Fernando Torres who started up front with Griezmann.
And repaying the faith was the former Chelsea forward who, scored with in the starting 35 seconds of the game to make it 1-0 to the home side.
But with Diego Godin injured, it looked as if the defense had major gaps between them. With Messi Suarez and Neymar in the attack a quick counter mounted by the away side, saw them score to make it one all.
As the game progressed, Atleti went on to score another, this time from the spot which was wrongly given by the ref. But soon Barca would equalize quickly which would be the sequence of the game. A twist in the plot after Captain Gabi was sent off at 45mins, handed the onus to Barcelona.
Neymar scored to make it 2-3 to the away team and 2-4 on aggregate to take Barcelona to the semi finals of the Copa Del Rey.
