Brazil edged past their South American rivals Chile in an ill tempered tie at Emirates Stadium in London. Roberto Firmino came off the bench to give a crucial victory to Dunga’s side.
The game was keenly contested and barely looked like a friendly. There were bodies flying everywhere, tackles were so hard that they could’ve shaken a Hummer and in the midst of all this some football was played.
It was an all out brawl between the 11 players. Neymar was the most hit guy on the field as he was tackled, pushed, shoved and stamped during the entire 90 minutes. Gary Medel’s stamp on the Barcelona man was the ugliest foul of the evening. It all began with Souza’s challenge on Alexis Sanchez and from then on, there was no holds barred war at Emirates.
Neymar came close twice on breaking the deadlock but was denied on both the occasions. Finally it took brilliance of Roberto Firmino and Neymar in the 72nd minute as the former scored a superb goal by rounding off Chilean keeper Claudio Bravo.
This was Dunga’s seventh win in as many games as they continue to rebuild their side for the future.
