After several reports did the rounds of the La Liga champion club’s left-back imminent signing for Premier League club Chelsea, the deal has finally been done.

The Brazilian has agreed on a three-year contract with the London and will be replacing veteran Ashley Cole in the left-back position.

The deal was said to have cost around £15 million for the Blues. With this, Chelsea have signed their fourth player with many more to come while they already have hired Cesc Fabregas, Mario Pasalic and Luis’ former team-mate Diego Costa.

He spoke to Chelsea FC’s official website after his unveiling and said: “This move is a dream come true for me. I now have the opportunity to play for Chelsea and also in the Premier League.

“I am looking forward to getting started and giving my best for the team during the coming season.”

This arrival means that Cesar Azpilicueta can switch back to his usual position as a right back from  his Left-back role for Cole the whole of last season.
