Chelsea Ladies edge past Liverpool to maintain 100% record


Chelsea: Lindahl, Blundell, Bright, Flaherty (capt), Fahey, Davison, Aluko, So-Yun, Rafferty, Coombs, Spence.

Liverpool: Stout, Harris, Easton, Bonner (capt), Murray, Schroder, Williams, Oshoala, Longhurst, Smorsgard, Dowie.


Chelsea Ladies edged past defending champs Liverpool Ladies courtesy of a Eniola Aluko’s goal in a keenly fought contest. The win keeps Chelsea the only side in the league which is undefeated.


Aluko scored a sublime goal in second half as she lobbed Reds keeper Libby Stout as she broke the deadlock after a tense first half. Liverpool looked a pale shadow of them through the game as they failed to exert any sort of dominance in the game. Liverpool enjoyed loads of possession but lacked penetration as
