Valencia vs Atletico Madrid – Match Preview

Overview

Both the teams have made a very good start to the season in an identical fashion. In their opening 6 fixtures, both the teams have four wins and two draws.

Valencia due to their superior goal difference is sitting at the second position behind Barcelona. Atletico have picked themselves up excellently after losing their key players in summer.

Valencia have taken good advantage of their fixtures as they got maximum points without any fuss. They are yet to face the Terrific Trio of La Liga and they begin their journey against the big boys the hard way as they face the defending champions.

A potential top of the table clash should high flying Barca drop any points against Rayo this weekend.

Team News

There is hardly anything separating these two teams at the moment, as both the teams have a full squad to choose from. We may see return of Antoine Griezmann for Atleti while Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to name an unchanged lineup from last week.

Valencia: Alves, Mustafi, Otamendi, Barragan, Fuego, Gaya, Gomes, Parejo, Rodrigo, Gil, Alcacer
