According to recent reports, Chelsea’s Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah is in a heap of trouble after news that his national government will force his to return to Egypt to serve in the military.
It is being told that he was part of an Educational Program that only allowed him to travel him to travel abroad. But the player has had his registration in the program cancelled by the Higher Education Ministry, meaning he can no longer be in England if his government says so.
This could also mean that if Salah returns he won’t be able to go back to London without serving for a period of 1 t0 3 years in the military. Egyptian National Team Director Ahmed Hassan has spoken out and said that he was in touch with the 22-year-old.
He said: “Salah has expressed his shock about the decision. He told me that he is trying to represent Egypt in the best way possible. Is this the best response from the country?”
The youngster’s future will now depend on a meeting that is scheduled to be held between Egyptian national team staff headed by Shawky Gareeb along with the Egyptian FA and the Ministry of Higher Education.
