David Luiz apologises after his goal scoring celebration

PSG and David Luiz made their way to the next round of Champions League after they knocked out England's best hope Chelsea on the away goals rule.

The tie which was finely poised after a 1-1 result in Paris, ended as two goals all at the end of 120 mins. With 2012 champions being eliminated on the night on away goals rule.

David Luiz who moved to PSG for a record £50m deal this summer, was quoted saying before the game that he wouldn't celebrate if he scored. Just out of respect for his former employees.

But there was a plot twist with David Luiz's emotions getting the best of him.

Luiz said: "I'm sorry for the emotion I showed," said the defender, 27. "It was difficult because I was so happy to win, but I was also happy at Chelsea."

"I said before I wouldn't celebrate but there was so much emotion, I couldn't control it. I am so happy to qualify.

"All the supporters and every single person in the club tried to help me from my first day at Chelsea to the last day."
