Tottenham vs Chelsea - Preview

Table toppers Chelsea take on London rivals Tottenham on the very first game of 2015. Jose Mourinho's Chelsea travel across the city to renew hostilities at White Hart Lane this Thursday.

The game comes less than a month since the two last met at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea drubbed Spurs 3-0 in the absence of Diego Costa. Since then the results have improved for the White Hart Lane side.

But also since then, Chelsea have Diego Costa fit and firing and available. The Spanish forward has scored 13 goals in premier league alone this season, which has helped Chelsea maintain the place at top of the table.

On the other hand, for Spurs youngster Harry Kane, Lamela and Eriksen have done well over the festive period as goals from each one of them has helped gain momentum and give them some much needed push.
