Deadline Day Round up

It was the much hyped deadline day as the January transfer window came to a close yesterday. But on the contrary it was a fairly quiet deadline day as the deals were far and few with no real sense of the rush which are synonymous with the D-day.

Yet there were few big names that made their moves. Juan Cuadrado, Andre Schurrle and Darren Fletcher are the ones to name a few. Among the big boys, Chelsea was the busy one while Southampton and Palace too were the busy bees as they continued their rebuilding process.

So here is a rundown on the major deals that took place on D-day –

Dame N'Doye [Lokomotiv Moscow - Hull] Undisclosed

Darren Fletcher [Man Utd - West Brom] Free

Dele Alli [MK Dons - Tottenham] Undisclosed (in the region of £5m); Alli loaned back to MK Dons until end of season

Ryan Bertrand [Chelsea - Southampton] Undisclosed

Wilfried Zaha [Manchester United - Crystal Palace] Undisclosed

Aaron Lennon [Tottenham - Everton] Loan

Lee Chung-yong [Bolton - Crystal Palace] Undisclosed

Mohamed Salah [Chelsea - Fiorentina] Loan

Filip Djuricic [Benfica - Southampton] Loan

Juan Cuadrado [Fiorentina - Chelsea] £23.3m

Andre Schurrle [Chelsea - Wolfsburg] £22m

Robert Huth [Stoke - Leicester] Loan

Seydou Doumbia [CSKA Moscow - Roma] £10.8m

Chelsea clearly seems the club who has done the best business as they once again trumped up huge profits from their benchwarmers. With Cuadrado in and Schurrle, Salah and Bertrand out they have considerably strengthen their squad at the same time they also cleared the pending deadwood.
