Eden Hazard closing on a new bumper contract

Chelsea star Eden Hazard is on the brink of being rewarded by a new long term deal which will make him the highest paid player at the club. He will also be earning the highest wages in terms of the club's history.

According to Mail Online, the winger will sign a new 5 year deal which will see him earn £200,000 a week. This is almost double of what he used to earn when he joined the club in 2012 from French side LOSC Lille.

There were reports in the media during the close season of his supposed bust up with manager José Mourinho amidst interest from French giants Paris Saint-Germain. All that has been put to rest as the Belgium international is seen by José Mourinho a key player in the Chelsea juggernaut.
