Transfer Rumors - Edinson Cavani to English Premier League?

There are widespread reports across both the sides of the English Channel that Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani will make shun riches of Ligue 1 for glory and fame of the Premier League. He was the subject of interest of all the top clubs in Europe, notably from Arsenal and Liverpool.

English tabloid Express is reporting that Arsene Wenger is still very much interested in the Uruguayan. This is despite the Frenchman splashed £16m on Manchester United’s Danny Welbeck. Express, in turn cite this report from their French counterpart L’Equipe.

It is also reported that Arsenal will sell Joel Campbell to fund a move for Cavani. Liverpool and Manchester United are out of this race after signing Mario Balotelli and Radamel Falcao respectively. This makes the North Londoners a clear favourite to land their man.

Reports of Cavani not being happy in Paris are not news. So this won’t come as a surprise if the mercurial decides to move to any Premier League club.
