The Western outfits played out a drab draw in Goa as both the teams failed to capitalize on their chances.
Goa were intent on sitting back and play on counter as they have realized their lack of firepower up front. It was a park the bus mode for the home side which is quite bemusing. Mumbai was the only team who looked on to create something as Goa was intent on sitting back and wait for their chance.
Anelka was tightly marked by Goa’s center halves and defensive midfielder who tried to kill that final ball which would be delivered to the Frenchman.

Goa was always the second best side in the tie and lacked the desire and will to go for all three points.
