The Football Mind takes a look at five signings that Manchester City can make do with in the remaining days of the January window or even in the summer window of 2015-16 season.
5) Isco: Real Madrid man who has lost his place in the starting line up to new signing James Rodriguez this summer, could be looking to leave his country and follow former manager Pellegrini under whom he made his name at Malaga.
4) Koke: City's squad is pretty strong already, but they could make do with a player as classy as Koke. With the more defensive minded duo of Fernando and Fernandinho, Koke is a perfect blend of a player who could attack as well as defend. Already considered as the future of Spanish midfield, Koke could be one hell of a signing.
3) Mkhitaryan: A player known for his scoring ability, the Armenian footballer would be a brilliant replacement for the outgoing Milner, Nasri and Lampard.
2) Marco Reus: The player who would be chased by everyone come next summer, could be the one to solve City's second striker/attacking midfielder issues. With City financial powers, he could be lured to Manchester's Blue side.
1) Paul Pogba: A name for the future, and one for the present, Paul Pogba would be brilliant signing for City to avenge and mock their neighbors United for whom the player played for.
