Javier Hernandez to Spurs!

Tottenham favourites to sign Javier Hernandez from Manchester United in £9m transfer . Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor are both set to leave to fund a 9 milion bid for Hernandez. According to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham Hotspur's manager, Mauricio Pochettino is interested in the Manchester United striker. Tottenham had bid 7.5 million earlier but since West Ham joined the race, Spurs increased their bid to match hammers' bid for the Mexican international.

Louis van Gaal sent him out on loan to Real Madrid last season, but with Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao both having left the club the 27-year-old is one of very few strikers left. Tottenham were earlier chasing the “Super Sub” in May but the rumours had died down since the beginning of the transfer window. Chicharito – as the Mexican is affectionately called, has scored 59 goals in 154 appearances for Manchester United since joining them in 2010. He has also struck the back of the net 40 times in 74 appearances for his national side. During the widely-regarded disappointing spell at Madrid, he managed to get past the keeper on 9 occasion and provided 9 assists for Los Blancos.

The Mexican international may not be their first option but he is one which would be sensible as he has one amazing record for a “Super Sub” at United. The main issue regarding his transfer would be the 100,000 pounds per week salary but considering the strikers present to support Harry Kane at the White Hart Lane, Spurs would be willing to invest the amount in a striker that can compliment Kane and get them a good amount of goals.
