Rumour of the day: Karim Bnezema on the move

The latest rumour from the Spanish national news outlets are that of, Liverpool making a move for Real Madrid's number nine Karim Benzema. The striker who signed a new contract with the club this summer, looks to be heading towards the Merseyside if the reports are to be believed.

With Brendan Rodgers' side firing blanks, a move for Benzema makes sense as the new signing and Italian bad boy as failed to score consistently with just one goal coming against Lodogorets.

Sources in Spain say, Real Madrid are ready to sell the French for a sum of 40 million pound. Suarez sold to Real's arch rivals, Liverpool have the money to splurge on another marquee signing who could get them goals.

It could be Borini who could be sold to make way for the French man to come in.
