Italy’s 2006 World Cup winning coach Marcello Lippi has decided to hang his boots at the end of this season. He currently coaches Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.
"I don't want to coach anymore, I'm too old," Lippi said. "Guangzhou Evergrande will have a new coach next season."
Marcello Lippi has had a decorated career in Europe with Juventus, where he won one UEFA Champions League and five Scudetto’s with them in two spells.
A report by BBC states that, Lippi says he will take over as technical director at Guangzhou, with his former Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro among the favorites to replace him as coach of the 2013 Asian Champions League winners.
