Massimo Moratti Resigns

Massimo Moratti leaves Inter Milan after 20 long years as a Owner/President.

Moratti who brought Inter Milan in 1995, sold his majority stake to Indonesian business tycoon Erick Thohir last year. Moratti who was always the acting President of the club was handed the title officially as he sold his major percentage of shares to Thohir.

A statement by his company on Thursday said Moratti has stepped down from the position 'kindly offered to him by Erick Thohir in November last year'.

Along with Massimo, his son Angelomario and two other board members Rinaldo Ghelfi and Alberto Manzonetto have decided to hand in their resignation.

It is said that, the Italian and the Indonesian had disagreement over the way the club was heading.

Though Moratti might have quit, his company Internazionale Holding Sr still retains a 29.5% stake in the Italian club.
