Overview:

In what could be called as a game of more than two half's, Liverpool managed to get a point after an injury time equalizer from defender Martin Skrtel. Arsenal who where trying to manage to their one goal lead, gave away a cheap free kick at the end as Liverpool managed to grab a much deserved point.

Liverpool who dominated the game, and had ,maximum possession of football where impressive as they played in and around the Arsenal box. Arsenal on the other hand looked vulnerable with Debuchy partnering Per Mertesacker in the heart of the defence looked nervous. Chambers who was playing on the right was tormented all night by Markovic and then Sterling.

With Liverpool's first goal coming courtesy of a brilliant one-two start from Coutinho with the Brazilian finally putting the shot of in the back of Arsenal's net. But as they say, the more you attack the more vulnerable you are, Arsenal equalised minutes after the Liverpool goal, as they scored from a free kick was put off by Debuchy. As the first half ended, it was 1-1.

With Liverpool making all the right noises, they came out in the second with all guns blazing. Coutinho, Markovic and Lallana doing all the work up front and unsettling the Arsenal defence. On the other hand, Arsenal's only positive was their diminutive play maker, Santi Cazorla.

Just like in the first half, Arsenal scored against the run of play but this time it was sheer brilliance fro the Spanish international Cazorla whose cut back was put away by Giroud. With Arsenal taking the lead, Rodgers changed stuff bringing Borini and Lambert on as they searched for goals.

Borini was booked for a dissent as he protested for a throw in. With all the play being played in the Arsenal box, Wenger tried to bring in defensive stability and see of they game as he brought on Conquilen in place of Giroud. But there was twist in the tale as Borini was booked for a late challenge on Cazrola and sent off. But Liverpool where resilient as they equalized through the man who had his head bandaged.

At full time, the game finished 2-2.
