Wayne Rooney reaches a new milestone

Wayne Rooney equaled Arsenal legend Thierry Henry when he scored United's third goal against QPR yesterday. Both Henry and Rooney have scored 175 goals in their Premier League career.

It took him 377 appearances in the Premier League to reach this landmark. Henry played for 8 years at Arsenal between 1999 to 2007 before a short loan stint in 2012.

Rooney is now third in the list behind compatriots Andy Cole and Alan Shearer. Andy Cole is second on list with 187 goals whom Rooney will aim to surpass this season. While former Blackburn and Newcastle striker Shearer is 86 goals ahead of him.

A new feather in the Englishman's hat this season after being crowned Manchester United and England captain earlier this season.
