Messi becomes LaLiga’s All time top scorer as Barca thrash Sevilla 5-1

Lionel Messi became all time leading scorer in Spanish Premiera Division as he scored a brilliant hat-trick against Sevilla. Lionel Messi went past Telmo Zarra’s longstanding record of 251 goals when he scored his first goal of the match.



Messi at the age of 27 is the youngest player to achieve this feat. Along with Messi’s hat-trick, Neymar and Rakitic chipped in with a goal apiece to complete the rout. Luis Enrique’s side closed in the gap on leaders Real Madrid with this win.



Lionel Messi opened the scoring in 21st minute with a typical goal as he carved up beautiful a freekick which took him past Telmo Zarra. Neymar then doubled Barca’s lead followed by a sweet goal by Rakitic.




Later on, Messi scored a quickfire brace to seal his hat-trick and completed the rout.
