Goalline tech finally reaches Italy

Italian Serie A finally agrees to install the goal-line technology as they look to embrace the technological advancements in the game.

All the major leagues have introduced this technology after it proved to be a success in FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil.

FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio was confident that the technology will be introduced in Italy as soon as possible.

“This morning’s meeting began a journey that will take us to the application of goal line technology in our country during the predicted time-frame,” declared Tavecchio to reporters.

“I am convinced that it’s use, starting from next season, will be unavoidable.”
