Petr Cech has brewed up a storm on Deadline Day by acting coy on his Chelsea future. Speaking to media while on duty for national team he has given subtle hints of a possible late move, " I’ve been at the club for
10 years, the situation [of being on the
bench] is now new to me. The three
opening matches I could not play for the
team. I have no reason to panic, pack up
and leave. I am a Chelsea player, where I
have two more years of contract.”
It is no secret that Thibaut Cortouis is the preferred number one by José Mourinho, the Czech legend was unsettled ever since and has been looking for a move elsewhere.
His quotes further fuel the speculations,
“In football, nothing can be predicted in
advance, nothing is ever perfect,” said
Cech. “A lot of players go on
representative duty yet still, many
transfer clubs. The offer would have to
be right for everyone. I do not exclude
anything [or] know the answer.”
A host of clubs have been alerted by this and it remains to be seen where the shot-stopper will be tomorrow, with Paris Saint Germain supposedly leading the chase.
