Glasgow’s Rangers FC’s AGM is turning out to be a farce for the club as fans and stakeholders protest against the board and AGM members.
Rangers chairman David Somers had to control the furious supporters by issuing a stern warning
Somers asked fans to "refrain from any disruptive behavior", adding: "If anyone gets too rowdy, I will have to ask you to leave."
Appointment of Chief Executive David Llambias hasn’t gone down well with the stakeholders who are voraciously against his appointment. But he tried to assure the fans and shareholders about doing his best for the club to restore its former glory.
"Not everything I do will be popular, but everything I do will be in the club's long-term interests," said Llambias.
Paul Murray, former Rangers director, was disappointed with this AGM.
"Mike Ashley has to come out and be clear about what he wants to do with the club. Are his interests Sports Direct or are they Rangers?
"For me, as supporter, it's embarrassing, but we'll come through this. The most important thing is to get people on the board who really care for the club."
The Scottish club’s worries are turning more woeful by the day.
