The Juventus striker who will be out of contract next season has been widely linked with Arsenal for quite some time now. With Arsenal struggling to keep players fit and playing a addition of the 5'3 striker-cum attacking midfielder would be a great option for Arsene Wenger.
With Lucas Podolski looking to leave, Giovinco could a like for like replacement not in size but in playing style. The striker who has fallen in picking order behind Tevez, Llorente and Morata now, has cut a frustrated figure with starting just 6 games last season and starting none yet this season.
Pasqualin his agent told Tutto Mercato Web : “Giovinco to Arsenal on a free
transfer? We have not contacted anyone and we have not been
contacted by anyone.
“We look forward to meeting with Juventus to renew the contract,
we do not hurry and do not know how long, but we await it.
“Our desire to renews has been confirmed, we felt and we feel, but
we should not make everything public.
“I want to emphasise that we are in contact with Juventus, and
there will be a case when we meet physically for the renewal.”
Giovinco who had a great season scoring 15 and assisting 11 before moving to Juve could be a decent option for Wenger and Arsenal.
