Slovakia stun Spain 2-1 thanks to goals from Juraj Kucka and Miroslav Stoch in either halves along with horrendous keeping from Iker Casillas. Spain looked set to steal a point until Stoch and Slovakia struck them on the break in the dying minutes of regulation time.

Spain as usual lacked any sense of threat as such to Slovakia who were content to let Spain enjoy 73% of possession and sit deep and play a counterattacking style. Diego Costa started the game despite the rumors of him being unfit. But the Brazilian-turned-Spaniard had a long night as he was unable to thrive thanks to slow and lethargic build up play by the La Roja.

The hosts struck inside 20 minutes through midfielder Kucka who drove his shot past a Casillas in Wonderland. The Real Madrid man was completely out of position and only he knows what he was doing over there as a fairly savable shot went right through his hands. Slovaks had a surprise lead in the 17th minute.

Then the usual merry go round began as the visitors tried to breakthrough a stubborn Slovak defense with an eerily slow build up play. Slovakia keeper Kozacik had a superb game as he made a few telling saves in both the halves to deny the European champions.

Spain finally got their equalizer through Alcacer, who with a delightful first touch slotted the ball in the back of the net. Spain started committing more men forward and only God knows what led Del Bosque play Santi Cazorla at right back despite having the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta on bench.

Slovakia struck via a brilliant counter attack as Stoch headed ball home past Casillas, with only 3 minutes plus added time left on the clock.

Slovakia with two shock wins sit atop their group as they have became dark horses to win this group.
